Elementary School

Elementary school means that other adults are now spending a substantial amount of time with your child.  New children, whose families you don't know, become part of your child's world.  Reading, writing, math, homework all start becoming part of the daily routine, bringing growth but also new worries.  How do I get him to do his homework?  I don't know the parents of the kids she wants to play with.  The teacher doesn't seem to like him.  How do I keep up with the after school activities?  Her best friend told her she doesn't like her any more and she's inconsolable.  And your friends are telling you that things are even tougher in middle school.
